Savannah Barros - Registered Nurse

Experience/Interests:

Savannah is a registered nurse who qualified in Sydney and moved to Brisbane recently to settle down, and has who has found her passion in family practice nursing for people of all ages.

Savannah Is passionate about excellent nursing care and loves getting to know all of her patients from birth up to when they are all grown, and being able to provide supporting and patient centered care to people at every stage of their journey. 

 

She has worked as a practice nurse for four years as treatment room nurse, a team leader, educator and a practice manager and two more years in elderly care and has great experience in most aspects of primary health care.

Savannah has experience and a strong interest in pre-employment medicals, wound care, women’s health, emergency management, pediatrics, chronic disease management, vaccinations, clinical precures, venepuncture, cannulation, health assessments, and care plans.    

Savannah also has a strong interest and experience in quality improvement, education and policy development, and is continuously working to improve patient care and the patient experience.

What she finds most rewarding is helping patients to unlock their full potential to live a healthier and more meaningful life through improved self-education and preventative health awareness.

Women’s Health, Wound care, Chronic disease management and health assessments, Policy development, quality improvement, Preventative Health, Family Planning and Paediatrics.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Nursing – University of Technology Sydney

ACN  Immunisation Certification – Australian College of Nursing

Cannulation certification – Healthcare training service

Phlebotomy competence and pathology collection certification  - Adept Training

Family planning NSW Reproductive and sexual health – Clinical Accreditation
