Dr Karyn Huntley

Experience/Interests:

Dr Karyn Huntley grew up on a farm in rural Northern NSW. She graduated from the University of Queensland in 1996 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery and subsequently completed her hospital and General Practice training. During this time, Dr Huntley developed special interests in Women’s health, Antenatal Care, Mental health, Family health and Paediatrics.


Dr Huntley obtained a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and also did one year further training in an Acute Mental Health Unit in Northern New South Wales.
 

Dr Huntley is passionate about General Practice and really enjoys the challenge and responsibility of assisting patients with all aspects of health maintenance and therapy of illness.
Dr Huntley is married with three high school-aged children. She loves family life and treasures the privilege of watching her children grow and learn. Dr Huntley understands personally the challenges of today’s busy life and the pressures associated with juggling busy schedules and lifestyles.
Dr Huntley has a special interest in Women’s health, Antenatal Care, Mental health, Family health and Paediatrics.
 

Despite these particular interests, Dr Huntley regards herself as a holistic General Practitioner that understands the importance and impact of all aspects of our health on our overall psychological and physical well-being.


Additional services that she performs at Milton Village Medical are Mirena and copper IUD insertions and iron infusions for iron deficiency.
